Raleigh County Parks and Recreation are seeking motivated and responsible individuals looking for part-time and full-time seasonal work. Most jobs start at $8.75 and up depending on duties and certifications. Most jobs are located at Lake Stephens, but travel to other parks.

2019 Seasonal Positions
Responsible for managing leagues, advertising signs, and field reservations. Coordinate concessions with A&J Catering and field maintenance with Lake Stephens staff.
Guarding waterfront beach and aqua water park. Must be certified or able to obtain certification prior to opening day. If you take and pass the YMCA course and work for us for one season we will reimburse you for half of the cost of the class. If you work a second season we will reimburse you for the second half of the cost of the course!
So work for us for 2 summers and get your entire lifeguard course paid for!!
Responsible for opening and closing splash pad, monitor visitors to ensure safety, clean splash pad and area.
Responsible for taking payments from customers and accountable for property and funds distributed and collected in the fee booth.
Responsible for distributing property and funds to ticket booth, accountable for funds collected and accurately prepare deposits.
Responsible for collecting payments for merchandise and site rentals at Campground store. Also, responsible for answering phones and taking reservations.
Responsible for collecting payments for merchandise, slip rentals, and launch fees. Make rounds to check boats, docks and surrounding area.
Responsible for mowing, trimming, painting, landscaping and other grounds work.
Responsible for cleaning buildings, bathrooms, floors, taking out trash and other duties.
Responsible for assisting permanent maintenance staff in a variety of duties, including janitorial, grounds, mechanical, carpentry, and inventory.
Responsible for cleaning cabins between guest stays, including changing sheets, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, laundry, dishes, emptying trash and other duties.
Planning, managing, staffing and ensuring park events and programs are successful.
Responsible for answering phone calls, emails, making reservations, and other office duties.
Making rounds, checking buildings and property. Alerting police, ems, and management of any problems or concerns.
Opening and closing park gates, bathroom, and trash pick-up.
