LAKE STEPHENS DAM REHABILITATION

RALEIGH COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA
The Raleigh County Parks and Recreational Authority (RCPRA) is seeking sealed bids for the construction of the Lake Stephens Dam Rehabilitation project. The project site is located off Rt. 3 (Harper Road) along County Route 3/28 (Latitude: 37°46’30” N, Longitude 81°18’00” W) near
Surveyor, in Raleigh County, West Virginia. These major activities include: excavate to lower the emergency spillway control section; excavate to widen the emergency outlet channel; improve the upstream slope and install a shot rock zone for wave protection; build a small berm along the upstream edge of the crest to achieve the required free board; drilling and blasting; excavating excess shot rock from the outlet channel excavation to serve as a buttress; and the installation of collection of toe seepage underdrainage system and outlet piping conduits for seepage flow monitoring. A detailed bid document will be available from Alliance Consulting, Inc. in either hard or digital format on Monday, June 22, 2020. A mandatory pre bid meeting will be conducted on site on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 10:00 am that all bidders must attend located at 1400 Lake Stephens Rd, Surveyor, WV 25932. Sealed bids will be accepted until 4:30 pm on July 13, 2020. Bids may be mailed to PO Box 5496, Beckley, WV 25801 or delivered to the
Raleigh County Commission Office 116 1⁄2 N. Heber St, Beckley, WV 25801 and must be received before the deadline date and time. All bids must be sealed and marked as Lake Stephens – Dam Rehabilitation Bid. Bids will be opened on July 14, 2020 at 10:00am. The RCPRA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all formalities.
